Granada is now an international airport.

INTERNAL FLIGHTS
There are internal flights from other big Spanish cities. It used to be very expensive because IBERIA iberia.es had a monopoly but there are now cheaper flights offered by vueling vueling.com which is bringing the price of all flights down

It takes about 40 minutes to fly from Madrid and about 55 minutes to Barcelona.

INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS
There are now several flights to Granada. It is possible to fly from Liverpool.

HOT TIP In the case where you get a flight from another country which lands in Madrid and then has another connecting flight to Granada, note that in about 30% of cases they mislay your luggage and have to send it to you the next day. Make sure you pack enough underwear, medicines etc in your hand luggage to last for at least 36 hours.
