Gardens, Fountains, and Secret Passages

As you explore the Alhambra, you’ll walk through cool courtyards with splashing fountains and green gardens filled with orange trees, roses, and chirping birds. In the past, these were places for royalty to relax, read poetry, and listen to music. This place is called the Patio de los Leones — the Courtyard of the Lions — and it’s one of the most famous parts of the Alhambra.
