How to get from Granada to Guadix on the train.

 

A day Excursion to Guadix from Granada on the Train

An interesting idea for a pleasant day out from Granada is to go to Guadix by train. Of  course your you could also drive or catch the bus but if you like train journeys with lovely views then this could be for you.   

Unfortunately the train station in Guadix is about 2.5km outside the town itself and you may have to walk in (unless you get a tax), it is downhill into the centre of Guadix. If you want to go back by the train you will be able to get a taxi. To get a taxi call - 699 593 532

Times of Trains 
There are 4 trains per day between Granada and Guadix in both directions. 
The earliest one from Granada  leaves at 11:10 and arrives at 12:44. 
The latest one back from Guadix  leaves at 19:53 and arrives at 21:26 
There is another one which leaves Guadix at 15:45 and gets back to Granada at 17:18

If you want to go back at other times you can catch a bus from the estación de autobuses

There are many more buses than trains.

By the way it is easy to get to Granada Station from the centre of Granada just get a 33 bus on the Gran Via. (also It is not too far to walk).
