The average temperature in Spain in January
Most of central Spain is quite cold in the winter. If you want to come to Spain in January to search for sun and warmth you will need to be on the coast anywhere between Barcelona and Sevilla. The warmest place in Spain in the winter is in Andalucia at the bottom of Spain. You can see some green on the map between Malaga and Almeria this is the warmest place, they even grow delicate fruit such as mangoes and avocados on the Costa Tropical which is around Almuñécar just below Granada. You can even sunbathe on the beach in January and February in this area.
