Please note Málaga is pronounced with the emphasis on the Má or first syllable. Most Americans pronounce it with emphasis on the 2nd  syllable and people might not understand what you are saying. Málaga not Ma larrrrrga

 From Málaga Airport (AGP) → Bus Station

  • train Train (Renfe Cercanías C1)
    From Aeropuerto station (under T3) take C1 toward Málaga Centro-Alameda and get off at Málaga–María Zambrano (≈12 min). Exit the station and walk 3–5 min to the Bus Station across Paseo de los Tilos.  Cost about €2 for the one-way trip. Frequency: approximately every 20-30 minutes during peak hours. First train is around 5am or 6am. 
  • bus Bus (EMT “A” Aeropuerto Exprés)
    Take Line A from T3 Arrivals to Estación María Zambrano / Alameda Principal area. From María Zambrano stop it’s a short signed walk to the Bus Station. Cost about €4 for the one-way trip. Operating hours: roughly from 06:25 (first departure) until approximately 00:35 (around 12:30 a.m.). Frequency: every 20-30 minutes during the day even on Sundays. 
  • taxi Taxi / Ride-hailing
    Pick-up at T3 Arrivals. Typical ride to the Bus Station: 15–25 min depending on traffic. Cost approximately €20-25 under normal conditions

walking On foot from María Zambrano: follow signs to “Estación de Autobuses” via Paseo de los Tilos (flat, curb-cut sidewalks).

 Getting There from Málaga City & Costa del Sol

  • train Train (C1/C2 → María Zambrano): Any Cercanías line that stops at María Zambrano leaves you a short walk away.
  • bus City buses: Multiple EMT routes serve María Zambrano / Heroe de Sostoa area; walk to the Bus Station.
  • automobile By car: From MA-20 ring road take signed exits for Centro / Estaciones, then follow signs to Paseo de los Tilos. Short-stay/nearby parking available around María Zambrano and station area.

  • tickets Regional/long-distance tickets are sold by various operators inside the station—arrive a bit early in peak seasons.
  • clock Platforms are signposted by operator and destination; check your gate on the departure boards.
  • luggage There are cafés and services around María Zambrano if you’re early.
  • wheelchair Step-free access available; ask staff for assistance if needed.
