To call Spain from abroad, dial +34 before the local number.

2. Landline Numbers Start with 8 or 9
Spanish landline numbers always begin with 8 or 9 and are 9 digits long.
- 91 ? Madrid
- 93 ? Barcelona
- 95 ? Seville & Málaga
- 96 ? Valencia & Alicante
3. Mobile Numbers Start with 6 or 7
Spanish mobile numbers always start with 6 or 7 and have 9 digits.
Example: 612 345 678 or 711 234 567
4. Toll-Free & Special Service Numbers
- 900 & 800 ? Free to call (like 1-800 numbers).
- 901 & 902 ? Shared-cost numbers.
- 905 ? Premium-rate voting numbers.
- 118 ? Directory assistance (expensive!).
5. Emergency & Essential Numbers
- 112 ? General emergency number.
- 061 ? Medical emergencies.
