When is the best time of year to visit Granada?

The answer to this question is based on the climate and weather in Granada.

The simple answer is in the Spring and the Autumn.

Mid summer is very hot and mid winter is cold.

The statistical perfect best dates for visiting Granada would be 20th September and 20th April.
At this time of year the temperature would be just perfect.
However if you are unlucky there is occasional rain at these times.

The period between 15th July and 10th August is always very hot.
Granada is 675 metres above sea level and the air is dry so even on the hottest days it does cool down a lot at night.

January and February are cold at night. If it is sunny during the day it would still be warm enough to sit outside in a T shirt but the moment there is a cloud  the temerature drops very quickly. January and February are normally a lot drier than March and April.

There are a lot of links to temperature charts of Granada and other information on this page.
